Visitors

There's been a ton of snow here lately. It's more snow than the area's seen in fifteen years, and it's hard on the wildlife.

I've been leaving food out for the deer in hopes that they could find it, but the food would quickly be buried by snowfall before they got a chance to.

I despaired, until I realized that the deer were making their way down our sideyard and hanging out under our deck to avoid walking in the deep snow. I left some apples and potatoes under the deck last night and when I woke up today, I got this shot of them, mommy and baby. All of the potatoes and apples were gone...so...success!!

Such beautiful creatures. I love their huge ears.
